Awesome! Shadow Faerie is full of unsolved mysteries that all tie in to other Creepy Hollow character's lives. I loved discovering about Em's past and who her parents really were/are. Although I felt the beginning was a little slow, every detail mattered and built up to a great finish that left me going crazy that I have to wait until December for the last book. But I'm so excited to finish Em's story and see how Rachel Morgan brings one of my favorite worlds to a close. Such a fun addition to the Creepy Hollow series.
  • A little disappointed.

This series is actually my favorite. I still feel that this book however, fell short on my expectations in comparison to the rest of the series. I hope the next book picks it up from how bad this one is. Although it did get better towards the end.

Wow! I don't even know where to start this review! Thank you, Rachel for such an amazing tease! This book was worth the wait! I loved the depth put into each character. I couldn't put this down. I have fallen in love with each of these characters and to see how they have grown and how every person we have meet along the faerie paths plays such an important role has been amazing! I found my self praying the "bad" girl Aurora will be good. Fingers crossed! I can't help but not trust anyone and unless I know they are a griffin rebel or have an alliance with them such as Dash I question their every move. I mean what is not to love about Dash?!? I cannot wait to see what Em will do and how she will grow in the final book. Ugh I don't want this series to end :-(

If you've enjoyed the Creepy Hollow story so far, you'll love this book. Rachel Morgan continues to build on the world she's created. We get more insight into the world of the Unseelie's, particularly the royal family. I think Emerson is my favorite character yet, she is so relatable. The Faerie world is still so new to her and she really just wants her life to go back to the way it was when it was just her and her mother. She is still learning about her magic, how it works, and who to trust. This book is full of all of my past favorite characters, and by the end of this book I found myself loving them even more...especially a certain golden eyed Faerie. We also get to learn more about some secondary characters and some fascinating Griffen abilities. Like Rachel's other books this one ends with a bang that leaves you wanting more. I'm not sure how I'll endure the wait till book 9!!! Thank you for your review.
