2/23/21–thanks to COVID and an “epic snow event” we have been isolated from the world as we’ve always known it for some time. Social distancing and/or impassable roads keep us from those we love. So when I opened my copy of “Night Moves”, by Julie Mulhern, it was like enthusiastically welcoming long lost family back into my home. This twelfth book in her Country Club Murders series is as fresh, funny and captivating as the first...perhaps even better! Mrs. Mulhern has a knack for creating believable characters, letting them develop and grow, putting them in interesting and believable storylines and allowing us to come along for an enjoyable ride. Ellison Russell, the heroine of the series, has taken great strides in becoming her own person in this 1970’s “I am woman, hear me roar” era. She has done so while handling her highly successful profession, her maturing teenage daughter, pain-in-the-rear mother AND soon to be mother-in-law and a host of well meaning friends and deadly enemies...all without getting herself murdered! I highly recommend “Night Moves” as well as all of the Country Club Murders series and her “Field’s Guide” series also! Thank you Julie, for sharing your amazing talent with us! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
