The Light in Action

At first it was hard to think i could like The Fires of Heaven. I had just come of The Gathering Storm, the best book in the series, and was anxious to start Lord of Chaos, for the battle at Dumais Wells. Something happened, however, as i began reading it anyway.
There is a lot going on here. Rand confronts more than a few enemies and resolves several issues regarding the Chosen. His insane counterpart, Lews Telamon, begins his appearance inside Rand's mind and thus begins the struggle for dominance.
Perrin is absent in this book, but Mat plays a critical role in Cairhienen which puts him in command of a rather large and veteran force, which grows in the the Band of the Red Hand.
Nyneave confronts her doubts and fears and begins her tale of independence and supremacy in the One Power. She decides to follow a path which leads her to some amazing discoveries in Healing.
All in all, this book is full of action. There are very few slow parts, but nearly everything that heppens here has a profound impact later in the series. I would highly reccommend reading this and not skipping over if anyone is remaking their way through the series.
