Do we really need all the porn in the sex? The stories hold their own, they are fun, complex (though sometimes repetitive). I loved getting into mesoamerica, this was great!

I read this book after telling myself I would not read another Dark Hunter story based on these characters (other than Sasha) and involving this storyline. A year later, the curiosity over Ren got to me. I was disappointed. I just don't think this book nor Retribution have been on the same level of greatness as previous Dark Hunter novels. I have now read every book Sherrilyn has written as her self and Kinley. These two are the two I wish I could unread. It's like she lost her mojo while writing these. I don't know if the heaviness of Acheron and later, Styxx, weighed on her but these books fall way short of what I expect of SK and of the Dark Hunters. Still anxiously awaiting Styxx though. To get back to the heart of the Dark Hunters, the brothers and the lives entwined.

I still have to reread this one again to truly get a feel for it however, I truly loved the way I could see all the ARCs from the other related series all starting to coalesce here. I was starting to think she might have lost it. Fantastic!!!

This was yet another great book. I know she is busy with all her endeavors, but I always look forward to her newest books. Thank you Sherrilyn

I'm surprised my eyes aren't stuck looking at the back of my head from the number of times I rolled them. The dark hunter books used to be original and thrilling. Now they are trite at best. It's so disappointing to read the most recent books and feel that no effort was put into them. Maybe Sherrilyn should write fewer books a year so that the novels are worth reading. The story is interesting, but the writing makes it hard to stomach.

Her best Dark Hunter yet. In this novel she brings every emotion to the table time an again. I loved it!

I have always enjoyed SK's books but this one did not do it for me. The characters were shallow and the dialog was preachy. I don't recommend it.

Could not put it down great , a must read . The love Ren found in Kateri is beautiful thank you Sherrilyn this was a great story . Keep them coming . Love the parts with Ash to love here about him the most .
